So, like the description says, it died two days after the return window closed. I suppose the bright side is that it worked great for the 3 weeks it did work. Really don’t recommend.

I’m finally able to play games like Baldur’s Gate 3 or GTA 5 without worrying about absolutely destroying the PC I had before. I love this GPU

Upgrading from the Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT to the RX 7800 XT is like stepping into a sports car after driving a reliable sedan. I’m really loving this card, just use DDU and clean install the latest drivers and you should be all set. The RX 7800 XT offers a noticeable performance boost, particularly in 1440p and 1080p gaming, thanks to its robust rasterization performance and a generous 16GB of VRAM. Architectural improvements, including DP2.1 and AV1 encoding, make it a future-proof choice for gamers and content creators.
While it doesn’t radically outperform its predecessor in terms of raw power, the RX 7800 XT’s price-to-performance was unparalleled and frankly quite attractive, and the ultimate reason I made the choice to pick up this GPU. However, it’s worth noting that this card isn’t the quietest, and ray tracing performance still lags behind competitors, but I really don’t g.a.s about RT as I’m primarily using this build for editing.
The Sapphire Pulse RX 7800 XT is a solid upgrade from the RX 5600 XT, providing enhanced features and performance for modern gaming demands. While it may not be a revolutionary leap forward, it’s a smart choice for gamers/content creators looking to stay ahead of the curve without breaking the bank.

Works great with Ubuntu Linux 23.04. I didn’t have to install any drivers for it to work, and I didn’t have to mess with any compositor settings either, and I switched from Nvidia to this AMD card. Just boot and use as normal. AMD doesn’t have any of its proprietary drivers available for 23.04, just 22.04 as of now, but thankfully the important parts still work on Ubuntu. Seems like it has good FPS in games, but I haven’t done benchmarks yet.

It’s a beautiful peace of hardware, it’s runs 4k in most cases and it actually fits into a mid-size case with a front radiator! Perfect upgrade piece. Gunna save the five stars for a month from now to make sure it’s still working amazingly.

I had the 6750XT…ran it for about 2 years…it was a good card! However, the 7800 is a world of difference visually! Much much better on the eyes…for context, I play D4 and LoL…worth the money! It’s the same size as the 6750XT…easy install and haven’t run into any issues! (2 weeks in as of this post)

This card is nothing but power and performance. It is very quiet and has no coil whine. No driver issues at all. In fact, the AMD software has been easy to use. It has run everything I have thrown at it well. Glad I bought it (and didn’t fork up more $$$ going with nGreedia).

I am upgrading from a 5700 XT. Very happy with the performance on 1440p. I play cs2, marvel rivals, path of exile, and call of duty.
Pros: Runs every game well
Runs quiet
Came fast and not damaged
Cons: Red accent on card
Under performing ray tracing

I received a Sapphire 11330-02-20G Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT Gaming Graphics Card, and it’s been performing wonderfully. However, I encountered a problem where I was issued a refund for the product while still receiving it. Since I’m using the product and very satisfied with it, I want to pay for it. Please contact me so I can resolve this payment issue. Thank you.

Third update: issues seemingly resolved by doing the whole reseat, clean contacts and nuke the current drivers with DDU thing. Still a great card.
Second update: Unfortunately, I’ve been having some issues with this card. Apart from some faulty drivers that crashed fortnite for weeks, I’m suddenly dealing with the screen going to black all of a sudden while playing games for a couple of hours. I did not get this issue before, so I’m fearing it might be a hardware issue. I’ve also read about a lot of users dealing with black screens with the 7800XT cards in general. I’d rather it to be reliable instead of faster, next time (I really hope I don’t have to send back the card) I’m buying NVIDIA, no matter how expensive it is.
Update, couple months later of use:
This card benefits from living in a cold place, the two fan solution is fine. However, I live in a pretty hot city (around 35c max with 90% humidity), so the temps here are not spectacular. As long as you have a temperature difference between the gpu sensor and the hotspot sensor of around 15 degrees while in full load, you’re good. This is without messing with the pretty conservative fan curve it has, it will never spin past 50% unless you set it too, and that is a good thing. You can override that, but it depends on how much noise you can tolerate. I’ve seen it go down up to ten degrees (!) if you set it past that amount. Otherwise, it has good performance for 1440p and even some 4k, though if you want stupid high frames on things like CS2 and Fortnite at max settings you’ll have to low down the settings. Both are pretty heavy games now, especially fortnite, so don’t worry if you go look for a YT test and see different
results on those, UE5 is extremely heavy.
Outside of games, the fans don’t even spin, it’s extremely cool for its power. If you’re somehow worried about its cooling capabilities being a two fan card instead of the more expensive model’s three and you have some spare fans, add intake fans in the bottom of your case if it allows it. And make sure to screw it very tight to the case’s back, it should not move *at all*, or it might sag in your PCIE slot, you don’t want that. I had it with a GPU support thingy and didn’t notice that the sag came from not screwing it properly on the back. It’s solid in its place now.

While this card is mostly for high 1440p gaming, it will touch 4k above 60fps and that’s say9ng a lot for this beast. Wonderful performance right out of the box. Temperatures were steady and not very hot. Roughly around 75c for me can be less with some tweaks. Plenty of memory to play with if you wanna mess with Ray tracing. Noise is extremely low to nonexistent. This is the brand you want for an AMD graphics card. Plus it’s the right price for this specific card.
