   The MSI MPG321URX OLED monitor is an absolute game-changer! Its 4K resolution and HDR support make every image pop with stunning clarity and lifelike colors. The OLED panel delivers deep blacks and vibrant highlights, immersing me in every scene whether I’m gaming or watching shows and movies. Even a game like overwatch just pops on it. The 32-inch size is perfect, giving me plenty of screen space without taking over my entire desk. Gaming feels smoother than ever thanks to the high refresh rate and adaptive sync. There has been a strange flicker on the screen when opening certain games, I have not been able to nail down if it is VRR flicker or something else wrong, I have tried with two cables so it could be a firmware issue or something of the sort. It is expensive at 950 dollars, but it’s the cheapest of the competition and well worth it. For the unbeatable image quality and features, the MPG321URX is well worth it.

   The 321URX is probably the most balanced choice for anyone in the market for a 32″ 4K OLED monitor. Within the group of newly launched QD-OLED monitors, the MSI is the most reasonably priced and has almost all the features the competition has minus one or two (BFI, DP2.1 UHBR30).

   Overall the build is very good. The monitor is quite thin and the design is very sleek. I typically am not a fan of RGB but it’s subdued enough on the back where I don’t find it obnoxious. Port selection is good with one DP1.4a and two HDMI 2.1 for video. I wish the monitor had optical out but instead it has 3.5mm audio out. Note the monitor does not come with a DP cable included.

   It does come shipped in the retail box but the box itself is quite sturdy. The Styrofoam padding does not flake and leave a mess everywhere which is a huge plus. The included accessories are quite barebones though at only the base/stand, power cable, HDMI and USB uplink cable.

   This is my 4th OLED monitor, replacing a 27″ 1440p 240Hz WOLED. The glossy-like coating is much better and the QD-OLED panel handles reflections very well. My setup is next to a window and it is still very usable. The base of the stand is quite large and I would suggest using a monitor arm to save on desk space. Out of the box the unit is very bright and easily impresses. I personally dialed it back down slightly because I can generally control the lighting around my set up.

   As an OLED monitor, the 321URX has amazing blacks and extremely fast response times. If you have a set up that can run 4K at any fps greater than 60, this monitor will not disappoint. The color accuracy out of the box is good, not perfect but most people will be more than happy.

   TL;DR

   This is best balanced QD-OLED monitor of the bunch. Priced just right with just enough features.

   I was between the Asus qd oled and this one (they both use the same panel), I really appreciate it has almost no frame or distracting lightning, this detail is personal though. Image quality is far beyond the IPS I had before, it is exactly what I was looking for, colors can get very saturated (which I actually love) and as exptected from oled, the blacks and contrast are just beautiful.

   I think the whole monitor is very sturdy, not perceived any significant wobble, IT DOES NOT HAVE BUILT IN SPEAKER, saying this as I had a hard time confirming that fact.

   If you are in for getting the best of colors and image quality in for 4k gaming monitor in 2024, you can’t go wrong with this one.

   I have no issues at all, very easy to install on it’s own base, colors out of the box don’t need much of a calibration but just maybe adjust it to your preferences. It does have to pixel refresh every 4h this is to help monitor last longer, as we know burn in is still there, but this helps preventing this problem so consider paying attention to oled care options.

   4K, OLED, 32 inches, high refresh rates and real HDR. These are all the qualities in a monitor that I have been waiting for. Ever since I saw HDR games on my TV I have been wanting the same HDR performance but on a smaller sized monitor. Overall, I am very satisfied with this monitor’s visual performance and it far surpasses any monitor and TV I have used in the past. However there are some quirks to be aware of.

   Pro:
   Real HDR. The monitor can reach peak 1000 lumen; combined with the infinite contrast ratio of the OLED panel, this monitor is leagues ahead of edge-lit monitors.
   Price. This is the cheapest QD-OLED monitor compared to the competition. MSI definitely has the most aggressive pricing in North America.
   The monitor is glossy and does not have a hazy matt coating. This is personal preference, but glossy monitors do look cleaner and sharper than matt as long as you have controlled lighting. And despite being glossy, the anti-reflection is very good overall.
   4K resolution. There is a very noticeable clarity increase over the 1440p 27” monitor that I have been using in the past. Despite this monitor having non-standard triangle RGB layout, I cannot see any color fringing on text even when during close examination.
   32” is a fantastic size for a monitor. 42” TV are too unruly to use as a desktop monitor in my opinion.

   Con
   Ugly bottom bezel. MSI what you thinking making the bottom bezel grey. It should have been bezel less just like the LG 32” WOLED monitor. At the very least make the bottom bezel black so it would blend in.
   Lack of color temperature adjustment in HDR mode. Pure white of my unit in HDR is slightly too green and there is no way for me to correct it through the monitor settings using the current firmware (FW.009). Hopefully this can be addressed in a future firmware patch
   Lack of DP 2.1 means this monitor uses DSC. While I can’t tell the visual difference between DSC vs native, the black screen flicker when switching to/from full screen is highly noticeable. Borderless full screen does not have the same problem but not every game supports borderless full screen. DSC also seems to cause weird flickering behavior at darker scenes when used with G-sync.
   The monitor has turned itself off once while in the middle of a game. It has only happened once so far, a few other people online have also reported it but it seems very rare so far.

   Netural
   Raised blacks when bright light shines directly on it, a quirk of QD-OLED. Haven’t noticed it myself with overhead ceiling lights. But it could be an issue if direct sunlight shines on it.
   Color in SDR is over saturated unless using the built in sRGB color mode or the monitor was calibrated with an ICC profile.

   Overall I would give this monitor 4.5/5. It’s an outstanding monitor that has some minor firmware issues that hopefully will be fixed in the future..

   Straight out of the box the monitor has spoiled me and now I need OLEDs in every room. When this monitor displays a black screen I swear it is off. The glossy finish adds to the beauty of this monitor also. I love the fact that after 4 hours of cumulative use the pixel refresh maintenance program runs to prevent burn in. The 3 year warranty for the display is also an added bonus for worry free use. The refresh rate is awesome and it handled down converting to 1440 very well, the picture quality is still remarkable.
   This monitor ticks all the boxes and I threw away the box it came in the first day, I could tell it was a keeper.

    The box came in a pretty good condition (thanks to the Amazon driver) and the packaging is on point to protect the contents inside. Setting up was easy and the stand of the monitor feels sturdy. Overall I’m impressed by the build quality of the display. I have been using a 8K hdmi cable so I just keep using it now with this monitor. Everything went smoothly when I connected it to my pc. I could select 4K 240hz and set up HDR calibration in windows without issue.
    About the picture quality. Since this is my first OLED display, the color vibrancy just blows my mind. Even though the premium color settings can be a bit too saturated but you also have the choice to choose User (where you can fine tune the color) or sRGB settings which is much more color accurate. This display shrines when you play HDR games and contents on it. My room is semi lit and not too bright for the most part so the brightness is sufficient for me. The 240Hz refresh rate also feels buttery smooth with adaptive sync on. With 3 years burn-in warranty I think the MSI offers a pretty solid product at a competitive price.

    Needed to balance top of the line gaming with office use for my wife. OLEDs can be bad for text but no issues with work spreadsheets. The 321URX delivers stunning visuals with vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it perfect for both gaming and office work.
