This Happrun projector is worth every penny. My last projector cost 4x as much and was only about 1/4 better in quality — if that.
Image quality is about the same, with the happrun actually beating out my old one considerably in noise reduction and sharpness settings. The haprun has better sharpness at the edges when I get it set up just right (see below,) but the top left and bottom left corners are still a little soft after doing everything I could to ensure a good setup. (Not a deal breaker for me.)
The fan on this happrun is half as loud as my old one, which is great.
The little hatch you can open on the bottom of the unit to easily clean the lens and screen is wonderful! I had to disassemble my old one to clean it, which meant there were often dust spots on our movie screen because it was such pita to maintain the machine. All projectors should be this easy to clean.
The lightweight design is great. Not only is it portable, the standard tripod screw hole in the bottom makes it possible to just stick this on any tripod or light stand for quick setup and takedown.
The speaker is actually loud enough to overpower the fan. I’ll never use it because I use a soundbar or headphones. The speaker is tiny and sounds hollow but it’ll work in a pinch of you need it.
I only use HDMI so I can’t speak to other connectivity features of the device.
The one area this projector lacks in comparison to my old one is the keystoning feature. My old one offered four point digital keystone correction, while this haprun only features vertical keystone by means of a wheel. Yeah, you can use the wheel to square up your image if you can’t get the projector level with your screen but I don’t recommend it if you actually want to enjoy what this projector can offer. Any slight adjustment of the keystone wheel will make everything go out of focus from the center of the image to the bottom or top edge, depending on whether you’re adjusting the top or bottom with the keystone. You absolute MUST get the projector level with your screen left to right because there is no horizontal keystone.
If you move the keystone wheel, you may find yourself having a devil of a time getting your image in focus again because there’s no markings printed on the machine to tell you where to return the keystone wheel exactly to center. I got mine as close to perfection as possible by adjusting the focusing wheel until the edge of the image that was NOT altered by the keystone wheel was as sharp as I could get it. Then I adjusted the keystone wheel until the opposing edge of the image was in equal focus. On my copy, doing this resulted in a sharp center as well. Once the image was in focus corner to corner, I just angled the body of the actual projector to straighten the image on the wall, ignoring the keystone altogether.
To enjoy this projector most, you’re gonna want to avoid using the keystone at all, which means you’ve got to have the projector perfectly level with the surface you project it on. I already owned a good tripod with a ball head mount that allows me to position the projector however I need to. If you don’t have something to set it on or a way to mount it, you might not enjoy the image quality as much.
All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase! If you’re on a budget this is a perfectly acceptable TV replacement for watching movies or cinematic shows that deserve a big screen. At this price, you really can’t go wrong. You just need a way to mount it and a little knowledge on how to set it up to get the most out of it.
Oh, also, I went over to YouTube and used “projector test patterns,” to get mine into focus and to help me adjust the color, brightness, and contrast. I highly recommend using those. It’ll make your setup process way easier and give you a better looking image.

Great little projector. The cooling fan is a little loud but you cannot find fault at this price point. The built-in speaker is loud and clear, which helps cover up the fan noise. This cheap little device offers brilliant, sharp images in any darkened room. Daytime performance is lacking, which is to be expected. The one detail that you should be aware: If you are pointing this projector straight ahead, the image is evenly crisp and sharp. If you position it at an angle that requires keystone adjustment, the edge of the image furthest from you will blur. Not too apparent with moving images but any text will definitely look out of focus. Still a fantastic value by any measure.

I am incredibly impressed by the quality of this little thing. For about the price of a “cheap” replacement bulb for my old DLP projector that cost 6x as much, this thing is visually outperforming it in a big way. Sure it only has one HDMI input, but that can be easily fixed with a splitter – I wasn’t expecting it to be chock full of features at around $100. But at approx. 10′ distance, I’m getting a super crisp 100″ 1080p image that is bright enough and quite vibrant to my eyes. It also accepts a 4k signal, which looked even more incredible, though it’s 30Hz (fps) – fine enough for videos, not so much for gaming. No noticeable lag, either – I haven’t tested any really high-paced FPS games, but Palworld looks/plays beautifully.
As an extra bonus, it doesn’t have the “rainbow effect” that DLP projectors have, which I find off-putting. It’s nice to be able to pan your eyes around the screen and not feel slightly dizzy. The LED light source means it should also last a good long time, hopefully the screen inside can hold up, but again, at $100 it seems a pretty ok “risk” to take.
The remote has all the buttons it needs, though it is pretty light and cheap feeling. Sadly the thin battery compartment door was a little tough to slide open and cracked in the process, it still works – but it was usurped by my universal remote anyways.
The included screen is nice enough, but probably best to use only if you don’t have a nice white wall or higher quality screen to use. The soft fabric material blurs the image slightly and causes bloom around brighter objects, as opposed to straight onto my white wall, which offered a much sharper image. A big crease down the middle required it being stretched to a pretty severe level before it wasn’t visible. I assume if you had a proper, higher quality screen, it’d be even more impressive. In the end, it’s still a nice bonus you don’t usually get, especially at such a great price.

Update: 4.5 stars. For way under a hundred bucks, this was a steal. Sure there are compromises. But projectors aren’t about perfection. No projector can give you darker darks than the surface you’re using, e.g. I get crisp images with great color in a room with a dimmed lamp on a plain white wall. Works well with an old Amazon Tap as bluetooth speaker. No real keystone adjustment though.
Original take: For throwing a 50-inch wide video image on a painted living room wall that isn’t perfectly flat, this projector has been pretty good. Color, resolution, contrast and brightness are surprisingly good; the speaker is surprisingly loud. So, the basics exceeded my expectations. But keystone adjustment is a joke, at least if you don’t want large areas of the screen out of focus. Materials and build are OK for the price. I wish there was a second HDMI port instead of the USB ports, and better magnification. An iris control would at least allow for more keystone adjustment and more forgiving focusing in situations where we don’t need full brightness. Overall, though, for the price, really not bad.

This projector is such a great deal! The resolution delivers sharp, clear images, especially in dark rooms, and it’s super easy to use. It’s portable, high-quality, and perfect for movie nights in bed. The sound is surprisingly loud directly from the machine, but not the best quality. However, it was easy enough to connect to a bluetooth speaker. Overall, it’s an awesome value for the price!

I didn’t expect much when I first bought this projector but I must say its worth the purchase. Its not the best when there is light in the room (just room light or sunlight). It becomes alive when the room is darker.
Doesn’t work when i tried to connect via bluetooth. It works best with a device connected via HDMI.
The focus setting is a bit confusing as it would focus on one horizontal layer at a time. So when adjusting the focus, it would focus horizontally from either top or bottom. I have adjusted it where the focus is in the middle of the screen so that outer edges are a bit blurry.
Highly recommend this projector for anyone that never had a projector before

Obviamente no puedo hablar de la durabilidad pues acabo de recibir el proyector. Se percibe de una calidad adecuada, un muy buen brillo y una muy buena resolución, conectividad suficiente, el Bluetooth se conecta bien, y no presenta retraso.

Superou minhas expectativas, amei. Mesmo em um ambiente claro a imagem é super nítida, Som alto tbm, muito prático. A tela que vem junto é bem grande e o tecido eh incrível. Apenas uma obs. como o manual está em inglês, o Bluetooth não é compatível com celular, apenas com caixas de som.
