Lots of ports, lots of features, looks great, looks great. Have had no issues at all.

I did my last PC upgrade about 8 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised by how things changed since then. There are 4 slots for NVMe in this motherboard with heatsinks. There are plenty of SATA ports.
I used this board with Intel Core i5-13600KF, Noctua NH-D15S, Kingston Fury Beast Black 64GB 5600MT DDR5, SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD (buy one without heatsink, since the motherboard has heatsinks)
There was no need to do BIOS re-flash, everything worked out of the box (although I did BIOS update later to have the latest and greatest). I installed Windows 11 Professional in less than 15 minutes (most time spent learning how to bypass the need to have a Microsoft account for the installation).
Pros:
1. CPU cooler power connector is too close to the edge of the board. I had a hard time fitting the connector because it was too close to the tower fan. Most people won’t have this issue, but I did.
2. Motherboard Bluetooth failed to be recognized by Windows 11 until I powered off the PC (physical unplug power) and restarted it. This is a known issue for the motherboards of this family.

It won’t recognize some RAM sticks until you update the bios, so have a thumb drive ready if you’re getting a C1 error like I had. It worked fine after that, but the boot time seems a bit slow so far, even with ultra fast boot enabled.

Just what I needed, the backbone of my CGI modeling and multimedia PC rig. Easy to install and set up. I highly recommend this brand

Board had no compatibility issues with the processor I already had and the new RAM I purchased for it. Was easy to set up, insane value, high quality, and plenty of connectors. Very satisfied.

I was a little worried seeing the reviews for the gigabyte z690 aorus ultra, but made the decision to purchase due to a sale for such a feature rich motherboard. It seems a lot of the issues were due to past bios versions and has now been addressed.
I used q flash plus with a USB drive to install the latest bios from gigabytes website and it worked great. Would recommend to any potential buyers.

I used this board for my first PC build and it went great, I did have some problems initially to have the BIO post however later on I realized that one of the SATA cable wasn’t connected to the 870 EVO SSD, so the board kept getting error 66. This board is for 12th gen core and it worked great with it. Pretty much BIO installation for windows is pretty easy. I just used a windows USB. For BIOs update: it really doesn’t matter if you update after installing windows or before, as long as you get a post. It is a guarantee you have your set up running correctly. My biggest problem would be the AIO would be in the way for DDR5 ram A2 slot. But 64 gb ram run great as it

Motherboard worked great right out of the box. The only issue I had was my own fault, I thought the onboard video was HDMI, but it is displayport. Gigabyte has a great little adapter that makes connecting the start, reset, HD, etc jumpers very easy. I did a BIOS upgrade right after installation. Gigabyte has what is called Aorus APP which made that extremely easy. My setup uses all 6 SATA ports, their position makes it very easy to connect/disconnect. I spent just under $600 on the motherboard, 12th gen core I-7 CPU, 32 gigs of DDR5 RAM, 1 TB M.2 SDD and fan. Kept my old case, power supply, monitor , keyboard and mouse. I could not have bought a new computer with this much horse power for more twice that cost.

I went through three of these boards and RMAs before switching over to the MSI MPG Z690 Carbon w/ Wifi. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09GLBZYSV/) The first board wouldn’t post so it didn’t even give me the opportunity to try to upgrade the BIOS or anything. The second board cleared POST but wouldn’t recognize the M.2 Drive and upon further research, it said I needed to upgrade the BIOS to get them to work properly. Once I updated the BIOS, it would go through a loop cycle 5 times before powering down. All saying there’s a memory error. At that point I already did the standard troubleshooting for RAM so I decided I should try new RAM and I got them swapped. The same issue. Went through 5 cycle loop before powering down.
Called their tech support and he said try a new power supply so I did. I have a power supply tester and it tested fine but I still tried a known good and also the replacement for the power supply I got for my new build. No change. Called support again and they said it was a bad board and to RMA it, then order a replacement. I already told them this was a replacement. They said order another one. Against my better judgement I returned and got a third board.
This third board would post but when I went to do the BIOS update, I noticed it was only recognizing two of the four 16GB DDR5 sticks. Doing some online research, I found that updating the BIOS can clear the unrecognized RAM error so I updated the BIOS which was successful but when I checked BIOS again, it was still only registering 2x16GB RAM. Swapped the RAM around, still only registering 32GB Total. Called support again and asked them if there is a known issue with the Memory Channels. The support agent was silent, inhaled after a couple of seconds, and then told me there is no known issue. Previously working for an IT Call Support Center, I recognized telltale reactions/actions of them knowing something but not publicly sharing it stating the standard “There is no known issue of this sort” kind of BS.
I told them I would be returning this and going with a different company. He apologized.
