This phone isn’t bad at all. I’ve tested a handful of rugged phones from brands I’ve never heard of, because I spend a lot of time out on the steppe and I really don’t want to risk my fancy Google Pixel while wading through waist deep water or battling through a dust storm. They’re usually a disappointment, and while I don’t want to sing the praises of the DOOGEE too loudly I’ve been impressed so far.
The phone does feel rugged and sturdy. It’s quite large but feels good in the hand, and it feels as if it could take quite a few knocks without damage. The cameras are very good – the night vision in particular works well, though not as well as my fairly basic consumer grade night vision binoculars. The battery is large and will easily last a few days of moderate use, and the stock Android 12 without any extra bloat stuffed in feels fairly zippy. Pages and apps load quickly without distracting lag.
I’ll see how it goes for the next few months, but after two months of use I’m still satisfied.

The camera is okay, could be better. The speaker sounds like it is coming out of a tin can and expect to use headphones. Battery life, with light usage, is about 1.5 days. Charging is extremely fast. Charges from 10% to 100% in what feels like under 10 minutes. The fast charging makes up for the shorter battery life. The screen is really nice and smooth. This is my second DOOGEE phone. My last one was a S96 Pro that I accidentally dropped off a three story building onto concrete, ran over with a car…etc. and it lasted me 3 years with no case. I don’t know if the DK10 is as rugged as the S96 and so I did purchase a case to protect it. With improved speakers and a slightly better camera setup, I’d give this a 5.

The display features a high definition image, excellent for videos and gaming. This phone has a wide series of features that make it a good value for its price. I’ve been using many of its features, and they work well. I’ve been connected via Wi-Fi and so far I haven’t experienced any issues. What I haven’t yet done is use a SIM connection, which I will be using shortly. Any issues that I encounter will be promptly updated. Given its robust build, its three cameras, its generous memory, display quality, new Android 12 operating system, and its excellent features, this phone strikes me as a good value.

This is a 5-star phone, for sure! If you are looking for a phone to take on a hiking or hunting trip, this is a great choice.
Pros:
– Battery lasts forever compared to newer phones. I haven’t stressed it – but I’d guess it will probably last most of a weekend on a single charge if you’re careful
– Night vision camera is fun and functional. Great for seeing wildlife, finding the toilet at night, or setting up the tent in the dark because someone (100% definitely not your wonderful, beautiful, & amazing spouse) was 3 hours late getting ready to go
– Comes with an integrated case and replaceable screen cover
– Operates like an Android phone and links with Google
– Won’t find a cheaper phone with these specs on the market

– unlocked phone, so it should be compatible with most services (it worked for me for Verizon pre-paid service)

– so far I was only able to fit the charger it came with. if the charger is too wide it wont fit in the phone because the case gets in the way and you cant stick it in all the way so that may be an issue if the factory charger ever stops working
– no aux headphone jack (which is what I usually use to listen to videos)
overall a really cool phone that i have been enjoying using!

Ho aspettato più di un mese prima di fare questa recensione per essere sicuro del funzionamento del telefono.
Premessa: avevo reso un rugged phone di altra marca perchè non mi soddisfaceva per niente, specialmente nel comparto fotografico e ho provato questo per vedere se andava meglio.
Ecco qua i risultati dopo un mese:
PRO:
– É mostruosamente rugged! Se pensate ad un telefono leggero, lasciate perdere, sembra di tenere in mano un mattone, ma è fatto bene, benissimo, bello con i suoi inserti color acciaio (io ho preso la versione argento) e durissimo. Molto protetto negli spigoli. Arriva con la pellicola già montata e una di scorta.
– Batteria: usandolo normalmente, con telefonate, internet e qualche video di Youtube, mi ha fatto… 5 giorni!!! Incredibile! Te lo scordi di doverlo ricaricare. La cosa buffa è che per default, quando la batteria arriva al 20%, Android ti chiede se vuoi attivare il risparmio energetico, ma con questo ci fai ancora 2 giorni! La ricarica è incredibilmente veloce: vuole il suo alimentatore ma si ricarica in meno di 2 ore.
Una funzione che ho trovato meravigliosa è il fatto di poterlo usare come power bank.
– Parte hardware: non ho capito bene certe critiche sul fatto che il costruttore lo ha descritto con 22Gb di RAM e invece sulla scatola c’è “20 Gb di RAM”. Quindi? Adesso un PC da lavoro ne ha 8 e ci lamentiamo di questo che ne ha “solo” 20??? É fluidissimo, risponde immediatamente a qualsiasi comando. Non lo uso per gaming, ma se non sbaglio c’è una ditta che fa qualcosa… si chiama Sony…
– Il display è spettacolare, molto molto nitido e con colori vividi. La regolazione della luce automatica è rapida e precisa.
– Audio: ha 4 casse frontali, tipo se siete in discoteca e lo accendete, probabilmente sentite il telefono più forte della musica! Davvero, perfino eccessivo il volume tant’è che spesso non attacco neanche la cassa bluetooth e lo ascolto così com’è.
– Parte fotografica: ohhhhhh, finalmente ci siamo! Foto belle, precise, dettagliate, reali nei colori e davvero in altissima definizione. Bene i video per immagine e audio. La fotocamera notturna è una figata incredibile!!! Buio pesto e ci vedi perfettamente (in bianco e nero)!
– Bluetooth: molto bene, preciso, rapido e con un’ottima gestione, anche con Android Auto.
– Display posteriore: nella parte posteriore c’è un display rotondo, bassino di definizione, ma che con doppio tap (funzione programmabile), fa vedere un orologio, una bussola, comando musica, comando macchina fotografica, ecc. Non indispensabile ma carino.
– Software: Android 13 con alcune personalizzazioni utili per il lavoro (metro, bolla, ecc.) e una stranissima funzione che lo rende però molto utile per chi lo utilizza in cantiere e coi guanti perchè cambia totalmente l’interfaccia che diventa a tastoni giganti e con funzioni ridotte.
– Parte telefonica: lo uso con 2 SIM di differenti operatori. Funziona bene, la ricezione è più che decente, non eccellente, ma credo sia dovuto al fatto che la zona antenne è carenata dalle protezioni. Comunque va bene.
CONTRO:
– É davvero molto pesante e tutti quelli che lo prendono in mano dicono “eh, ma come pesa”. Sì, però è davvero fatto di metallo.
– Rilevatore di impronta: non è rapidissimo. A volte devi appoggiare il dito 2 volte. Potevano fare di meglio.
– Tasto di accensione: ecco, signori della DOOGEE, è da cambiare SUBITO! É troppo morbido e mi è capitato più di una volta di prenderci contro e vedere apparire la richiesta di spegnimento del telefono. E su un rugged proprio non va bene. Una sola volta, l’ho appoggiato nella tasca dell’auto, sul pulsante di accensione e dopo un paio di dossi, il telefono si è spento. Non che sia terribile, però potevano fare di meglio.
– Torcia: perchè in un telefono così, è stato messo 1 LED come torcia? ‘mazza, vi siete sprecati! É un telefono da lavoro, si poteva fare di molto molto meglio…
Ad ogni modo, sono molto soddisfatto in generale, il telefono mi piace molto e non vivo più con l’ansia di sbriciolarlo come mi è successo con un MOT…
Una nota: qualcuno ha messo una recensione con la confezione che contiene il pennino per aprire lo slot delle SIM. Non c’è nessun pennino dentro e lo SLOT si apre semplicemente con un’unghia. Comunque tutte le guarnizioni tengono bene e vuoi mettere la soddisfazione di lavarlo sotto al rubinetto dell’acqua?
Fine recensione, bravi signori di DOOGEE, sono molto soddisfatto del mio mostro!
