Gorgeous mouse. I’m upgrading from an old Razer chroma because the scroll stopped working & it has some wear and tear. I was worried this mouse might be smaller than my old one, but it is the same size as you can see in pictures. It feels great in the hand, has a nice strong ‘click’ and the customizable features via Razer app is sick.
It was either the Logitech RGB or this one. Glad I went with this one, the aesthetics/size/feel is much better than the Logitech. Great buy and 100% worth your money. Good job Razer!

I find myself ALWAYS hitting the “ambidextrous” buttons on the side of the mouse with my pinky finger. I have NO idea why anyone would ever want buttons there. If you do not set them up, they just mirror whatever button you have set to the normal two buttons on the normal side of the mouse. I haven’t looked into the software to see if I can disable them yet. Otherwise it is a nice mouse, the only color distortion of any kind after 6+ months is on the rubber side grips. All white plastics have stayed completely white. Rubber is yellowing.

Basically, this isn’t just a viper with a different color. I own the original black viper, and the viper 8k. The surface finish of the white plastic is rougher. It reminds me of quality PBT keycaps. Over about 3 months, there’s no sign of “shine” where the finish gets smoothed down and glossy, which happened pretty quickly towards the back of the other two vipers I own.
Then there’s the v2 switches, which have a more normal level of stiffness and snappiness compared to the original viper’s switches which are too light for my taste. Comparing the clicks to other gaming mice with mechanical switches, they remind me most of omron switches or the lighter kailhs. So, maybe on the lighter side, but still within the spectrum of what most people are used to.
This has the same sensor as the original viper, you don’t get any of the upgrades that you do with the 8k. The upside to that is the cable is more flexible like the original viper, or viper mini. A paracord would still definitely be an upgrade for this though. You can grab the cable, push it toward the mouse and instead of the cable just bending until your fingers touch the mouse like a paracord would, you’ll move the mouse across the mousepad. I don’t find my aim being disturbed when placed in a bungee though. It’s still more flexible than any rubber cable I’ve encountered
For those unfamiliar with the viper shape and features, my only criticism is that the main buttons can bump against my keyboard during large swipes (low sens gamer here) and cause misclicks. Not a big deal since you can just move your keyboard, or get a smaller one, to allow enough space, but I wish the main buttons were more enclosed like in zowie designs. Other than that, I don’t think lighting settings get saved to onboard memory, so you’re stuck with rainbow colorshift when switching to other computers. DPI settings do get saved though.
Giving 5 stars when this is around $40. Not too long ago, a mouse like this would cost you hundreds second hand on ebay and be all the rage on the internet. It’s not the latest and greatest feature set now, but realistically this provides everything needed to perform at a high level.

Great mouse for the money. It is solid and has a rubberized type feel so it is not slippery and is comfortable in your hand. It has a good weight to it as well. I really love the color and got it to match my other Razer products. My only complaint is that it is only able to show one color at a time. It would be nice if more of the mouse had parts that were lighted so it was able to go rainbow like my other Razer products.

Overall it works, and I bought this for work since I am a Razer Shill and couldn’t have my workspace being RGB hell.
It’s not as tracky as my other Viper for some reason don’t know if the feet are different or what but I mean for work it works.
I’ll be doing a full video review of it soon.

Es muy ligero y cómodo, lo único malo que tiene es el color estático del RGB en color verde cuando lo usas en cualquier dispositivo que no tenga instalado la aplicación de Chroma.

Typical quality control from Razer, the left click feeling completely different than the right click with a loud clunk feeling and sound coming from the left click every time you let go of the button.
Sadly i cannot say this is a once off with razer mice as this has happened on multiple mice over multiple models. The optical switches they use seemingly have no quality control whatsoever and is rare to a find a mouse where the right and left clicks feel consistent with each other.

Smooth glide, Good quality, weight, and gaming performance. I got the wired version. The razer viper mini is better for a clawgrip imo.

Este mouse fue quien me llevó a consumir mas productos de Razer, es elegante, limpio, no hace bulto y se adapta bien a mis manos (tengo manos decentemente grandes), muy recomendable
