Ordered this along with a similarity priced European sim card in anticipation of an upcoming trip to Europe. Last minute decision. Cheap price. I’d rather not mess with the sim card in my iPhones for assorted reasons. One’s locked to the carrier anyway. Unfortunately you get what you pay for here … maybe that is … perhaps even less.

This product looks and feels like 1990s “state of the art” cellphone technology. Remarkably slim and small, it lacks even the most basic of interactive screens. All entries are essentially accomplished “pick & pray” using the smallish keys. For example, to enter letter “S” you have to keep depressing the #7 key repeatedly. Watch the undersized screen as your entry cycles through letters “P, Q, R” individually before the letter “S” you’re seeking pops into view. Than hit “enter” and move on to the next letter or number you want to enter. I can’t begin to imagine having to deal with such archaic functionality while waiting in line at a busy airport, lost out on the road somewhere or wandering on a crowded big city sidewalk.

The only literature enclosed was a small leaflet that demonstrates how to insert the battery (which ships packed outside the phone). No instruction manual included. Since the battery diagram doesn’t explain that the phone’s entire back panel needs to be prayed off with a sharp-bladed tool to gain access, it took quite a while for me to figure this out and install the battery. Sim cards are also inserted or changed-out through this archaic method. There was no printed documentation on how to activate and operate phone. I found a bit of information online, but hardly enough. Needless to say, I’ve sent mine back.

My advice if needing a cheap phone for a foreign trip or other shorter period would be to buy a used or refurbished Apple, Samsung or other top-branded phone. Even a 10-year old Apple iPhone would be miles ahead of this product for ease of use, functionality and overall design. Older phones can sometimes be found selling for a fraction of what they sold for new. Spend a little more. Save yourself a bunch of headaches.

I put in the battery and put on charger for 24 hours as directions stated, then inserted sim card. The battery never charged and the phone would not turn on. No functions worked at all. Total waste of money. Don’t bother!

Cheap amd best. Bought it for just receiving messages.. quite good long battery power. Be aware that we should use normal big sim

Perfect for what I needed it for! For some reason (that makes no sense to my brother haha), I wanted to keep my old South FL home phone number. It originally went from a Landline, to Vonage, then to Ooma for 20 years. I switched to the free plan for Ooma (only playing taxes which came out to like $5+ a month). I then decided to take the journey to port it from Ooma to Google Voice. After about 16 days it finally ported over to Ting! Which led me to this phone.

I cam looking on Amazon for a cheap unlocked GSM phone to use with Ting. This fit the bill. Decided to take a shot and it did what I needed. Took a little while with some searching on Amazon to figure out the thing cause the directions are pretty worthless. Used a nail clipper (I have no fingernails haha) to pry it open. To do that on the bottom right (as in my 2nd pic) just pry in the groove there and it’ll come apart eventually. You’ll prob have to work around it to get it all off. Then after figuring the right position for the sim card (last pic) got that going. I first tried the top part thinking that’s where it goes, but it has to go all the way down. It works with Ting just fine! They got great customer service by the way. This was the cheapest way for me to port the number. I took a picture of the way the battery goes. It only goes in one way. I saw another question about using the flashlight, to do that you can access it from the menu or long pressing the 0 button that has the icon. To turn it on you long press the Phone icon on the right with the slash through it (and very little power icon I just noticed).

Volume sounds really loud. Can’t comment on battery since I’ve only taken one call so far to verify my number with Google Voice. This phone screams perfect for kids to stay in touch with their parents. I think I’ll keep it as a backup phone and one to travel with (if that ever starts happening again) abroad. Overall outside of the lackluster instructions, it seems like a great phone for what it is.

Looks and feels like a nice device for the money. But unfortunately didn’t get reception in Calgary. So had to return it right away.

The phone works perfectly well with my Nigerian SIM.

The battery gets flat within 24 hours without anyone operating it.

It’s a cool little basic phone. But, with a tmobile SIM card this phone has almost no connectivity anywhere my iPhone has it on the same network.

I know I bought something cheap, but is well below my expectations. Barely works in my area, no signal and super low volume/speaker

Had top of the line phones from Samsung, moto, so many others and Blu…..well two Blu phones were more dependable, reliable, durable, and worth every penny spent. One took a dive in a toilet, discovered five minutes later, towel dried and still working ..that was four years ago.

I cannot comment on the product itself however it’s a cute phone, convenient size as well. Found out after receiving the item that it was the Network capabilities on the device were not suitable for my region. The seller was quick to respond to my query and worked with me to resolve the issue. Excellent customer service!
